Day Service Manager

Team Manager (Day Services) Brent Council – John Bilham Resource Centre Contract: 6 Months Rate: Competitive – please state required hourly rate Brent Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager (Day Services) to lead and develop high-quality services for adults with learning disabilities. This is a key leadership role within Direct Services, ensuring safe, empowering, and outcomes-focused support delivery across the campus. Key Responsibilities * Proactively deliver a campus-based approach to service delivery across Direct Services * Lead services that uphold respect, empowerment, and inclusion, in line with Brent Council standards * Work collaboratively with Care Managers and Direct Service teams to assess and meet service users’ needs * Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including Brent Start * Ensure individualised programmes are developed to support life skills, independence, and personal goals * Take responsibility for the safe, compliant delivery of services, in line with legislation, policies, and procedures * Support the development and delivery of Support Plans, working closely with service users and carers * Identify, manage, and escalate risk, working with professional staff and reporting to the Service Manager * Ensure compliance with building regulations and health & safety standards * Identify and promote external funding opportunities * Signpost staff and carers to relevant support organisations, including specialist Autism services * Provide line management, supervision, and leadership to Team Leaders, supporting effective day-to-day operations Essential Requirements * Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or a related field * Extensive experience working with adults with learning disabilities * Proven experience managing a day service * Strong leadership, partnership-working, and safeguarding knowledge
