A new permanent opportunity with an established and successful Precision Engineering business in Hertfordshire! Responsibilities * Setting and operating CNC lathes * Loading and proving out existing programs * Tool setting and offset adjustments * First-off inspection and in-process checks * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements * Measuring components using micrometres, verniers, bore gauges etc. * Producing small to medium batch work * Maintaining a clean and safe working area Requirements * Previous CNC lathe setting and operating experience essential * Ability to work independently and manage workload * Confident using measuring equipment * Able to read and understand technical drawings * Experience with Fanuc or Haas controls preferred (but not essential) * Good attention to detail * Reliable and punctual * Strong understanding of tolerances and quality standards Desirable * Experience within precision engineering / aerospace / automotive sectors Machines / Software * HAAS cnc lathes * Hypermill cad/cam software What We Offer * Competitive pay based on experience * Overtime available * Stable long-term position * Friendly workshop environment * Immediate start available
