Trainee Project Manager / Rotational Trainee £25,000 - £30,000 + Package Leicester (Site & Office Based) An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work with a family-owned contractor specialising in drylining and refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across all areas of the business, gaining hands on exposure to multiple departments and developing a well-rounded understanding of the construction industry. As a family run business, they take great pride in their close-knit team and commitment to maintaining long standing relationships with clients and customers throughout the region. This role would suit an ambitious individual looking to build a long-term career within construction and project management. Performance Objectives: Working closely with project managers and senior staff to gain a full understanding of drylining and refurbishment projects from inception through to completion Rotating across different departments within the business to develop a broad understanding of operations, commercial functions, and project delivery Assisting in ensuring all health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to across projects and sites Supporting the delivery of high quality projects, contributing to the successful presentation and completion of works Learning to effectively manage project based activities in line with company procedures and industry standards Assisting with the procurement and organization of labour, materials, and equipment required for projects Collaborating with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to support smooth project delivery Attending site progress meetings and supporting project reporting and planning activities Taking part in structured training and development programmes designed to support long term progression within the businessPerson Specification: A background in construction, project management, or a related field would be advantageous A genuine interest in the construction industry and willingness to learn all aspects of the business Current study towards, or possession of, a relevant qualification in construction, project management, or a related discipline would be beneficial Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently engage with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors A proactive and organised approach with a commitment to delivering a high standard of work Good IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management systems The ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines A full UK driving license.How to Apply: Please apply through our website or get in touch with James at gap construction.
