An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced trade merchant professional with some people management experience to join this market-leading distributor of electrical products.
We are seeking to recruit a customer service focused Assistant Manager to join this successful company to work alongside the manager in this busy branch.
The ability to positively influence relationships with both customers and suppliers is essential, for which you will need a proven sales / customer driven supervisory background with current or recent experience in the trade suppliers sector. eg plumbers merchant, electrical wholesale, builders merchant etc.

Responsibilities
• Be responsible for running the site, staffing, sales, logistics and other branch activities
• Working alongside the branch manager and taking responsibility when they are off site
• Provide customers with great service ensuring their continued loyalty
• Manage sales and look after key customers where required
• You will have day-to-day operational responsibility and a hands on approach to the business.
• You will be working as part of the team as well as supervising the branch operations
• You will be developing good working relationships with customers whilst managing an experienced and stable team of people.
Requirements
• Recent or current Management / Supervisory experience in a trade merchant sector.
• Full UK driving licence is preferred
• Strong organisational and leadership skills to empower and develop their team and lead by example.
