Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum Supporting pupils' academic progress and emotional wellbeing Preparing pupils for SATs foundations and maintaining high expectations Using assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform planning Providing support and challenge for all learners, including SEND and higher-attaining pupils Working closely with the parallel Year 6 teacher, support staff, and leadership team Contributing positively to the wider school communityCandidate Requirements The school is seeking a teacher who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Has experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6 Has a secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents Is organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic about teaching Brings energy, commitment, and a proactive attitude to the role Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant KS2 placement experience are also encouraged to apply.
