Job Overview We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Painters to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties * Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion * Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment * Follow technical specifications and colour schemes accurately to meet project requirements * Mask off areas to protect surfaces not intended for painting * Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colours and textures * Perform minor repairs on surfaces prior to painting, including patching holes or cracks * Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste materials responsibly and cleaning tools after use * Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and fabrication teams as needed Requirements * Proven experience in construction painting or related trades such as roofing, carpentry, masonry, or welding is preferred * Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in painting and surface preparation * Ability to work with various materials including paints, primers, stains, and coatings * Familiarity with safety procedures related to working at heights or around hazardous substances * Basic understanding of other construction trades such as plumbing or electrical work is advantageous but not essential * Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately * Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting equipment and working at heights if necessary * Relevant experience in fabrication or working with specialised coatings is a plus Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.
