Team Leader
ALaCarte (Staffline) Leicester is looking to hire Team Leader for our clients Food manufacturing site based across Leicester. This role will lead to Permanent position.
Pay Rate will vary from £15.12/Hr to £19.73/Hr
AM AND NTS Shift available - 4 on 4 off or Thurs to Mon
Role Summary
Team Leader is a 'hands on' role, providing direction and guidance to a team of operatives on a production line or in a production area, and as line manager is responsible for the team performance in delivering the production plan to the required quality standards in a safe and efficient manner.
Skills - Abilities - Knowledge
Ability to build good relationship ensuring everyone is treated equally and with respect. Monitor team morale to ensure any concerns or issues are addressed properly and promptly.
Continually look to improve by linking own objectives to support the business and seek learning and development opportunities.
Ensure safety, health and environmental factors are well managed. Ensure agency workers receive appropriate induction, training, support and supervision and help them integrate into the team. Demonstrate the required understanding of the H&S and environmental management system.
Communicate work instructions and information clearly and ensure these are understood.
Demonstrate Leadership and Management quality following most cost effective and efficient processes for getting things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. Demonstrate the ability to take a range of information, think things through logically and prioritise workload.
Qualifications - Experience - Technical Skills / Knowledge
- Previous experience of working within the food industry is essential.
- Good problem solver with ability to make decisions within own remit and initiative to resolve issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels
- Quality minded with a high degree of accuracy, and able to work under pressure
- Flexible approach to working patterns and able to react to production changes
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines
- Previous experience of managing a team is desirable.
