About the role

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Various Hours: Monday to Friday + Out-of-Hours Standby Rota (including weekends) About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our clients operations team, following their successful bid to manage a large wastewater contract. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful completion of routine, reactive, and remedial maintenance across operational sites. You will play a key role in ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will also participate in an out-of-hours emergency standby rota, attending call-outs promptly and carrying out repairs to maintain compliance and operational performance. Key Responsibilities * Carry out daily routine maintenance on a variety of treatment facilities, including cleaning, sampling, and general maintenance tasks * Perform repairs and replacements on a wide range of pumping and treatment plant assets * Undertake fault finding on mechanical systems, demonstrating a strong “first-time fix” approach * Respond to emergency and planned recovery work as required * Conduct confined space entries, including plant repairs and tank cleaning when necessary * Work closely with your Manager and Delivery Technician to identify and implement optimisation opportunities, helping to reduce operational costs * Assist in planning daily routes to ensure efficiency and productivity * Maintain excellent Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards at all times * Provide accurate and timely feedback to Head Office via PDA, phone, email, teleconference, and photographic reporting Skills & Experience Required * Experience working with a broad range of water and wastewater treatment technologies * Knowledge of water and wastewater pumping systems * Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices, with a demonstrable safety-first approach * Good knowledge of environmental legislation * Hands-on experience in routine maintenance, sampling, and mechanical repair work * Full, valid driving licence What We Offer * Competitive salary (dependent on experience) * Company vehicle and tools * Ongoing training and development opportunities * Supportive team environment If you are a motivated technician with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and quality, we’d love to hear from you
