A leading national Legal 500 law firm is seeking to appoint a Commercial Litigation Partner / Head of Department to lead and develop its Dispute Resolution offering in Nottingham.


This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor to step into a senior leadership role with real autonomy, shaping the direction and growth of a high-performing team over the next 3–5 years, with scope across multiple office locations.


The Opportunity


You will take ownership of an established Dispute Resolution team, currently comprising four fee earners alongside dedicated legal support, with a clear strategy for expansion.


This is a strategic leadership role where you will be responsible for:


  • Leading and developing the Commercial Litigation department
  • Driving business development and securing new client relationships
  • Managing and growing key client accounts
  • Handling a varied caseload of high-quality commercial disputes
  • Collaborating with other departments to maximise cross-referral opportunities
  • Contributing to the firm’s wider strategic growth and direction

About You


The successful candidate will be an experienced Commercial Dispute Resolution Solicitor with:


  • Strong technical expertise in contractual and tortious disputes
  • A proven track record in business development and winning new work
  • Established leadership and team management experience
  • Strong knowledge of court procedures and ADR
  • A commercial, proactive and solutions-driven approach
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to inspire, mentor and grow a team
