Location: Camden (North London & surrounding areas)

Job Type: Part-time / Full-time Monday to Friday (Flexible)

Salary: Competitive hourly rate

SEN Outreach Tutor – Immediate Start

New Chapter Tuition is looking for experienced SEN Outreach Tutors to deliver 1:1 personalised tuition to children and young people aged 5–25 across Camden.

You will support learners who are out of school, at risk of exclusion, or with additional needs, including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and EBSA.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will help students re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.

Sessions are delivered in homes, libraries, and community settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual needs
• Support learners with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and complex needs
• Plan and adapt learning in line with EHCPs
• Use trauma-informed and nurture-based approaches
• Build consistent, positive relationships with students
• Track progress and complete session reports
• Liaise with parents, schools, and local authorities

Requirements

• Experience working with SEN / SEND learners (essential)
• Experience in outreach / alternative provision / EBSA (desirable)
• Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
• Background as a Teacher, Tutor, TA, HLTA, or Mentor preferred
• Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently in community settings
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• Right to work in the UK
