The business delivers expert maintenance, technical support and digital solutions across the full lifecycle of rail fleets, helping customers maximise performance, availability and passenger satisfaction.We are currently recruiting for a Shift Production Manager to join our Ardwick traincare facility in Manchester. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Train Service Agreement to our customer, planning and resourcing a team of skilled Supervisors and Technicians to ensure the on-time completion of maintenance activities on the rolling stock. You will also be responsible for the management of defects to ensure a robust and reliable operational service is provided.**This role require shift work including both days and nights**This role is classified as safety critical and is subject to a pre-employment medical assessment, which must be successfully completed prior to start.You'll make a difference by...Plan and manage all resources including people, plant, material, tools and third-party services to meet the operational requirementsDevelop and execute production plan to meet business targets, keeping deferred work to a minimumEnsure all maintenance activity is undertaken in accordance with the relevant maintenance instruction and Group Standards.Ensure optimum shift coverage minimising downtime, complaints, or delay to our customersEnsure any extraordinary circumstances or any complex work is built into the planActively encourage identification and implementation of continuous improvement activitiesCustomer ServiceDevelop good relationships with customers by ensuring consistent delivery of targets and escalations are dealt with promptlyManage day to day operations in line with agreed KPIsEnsure short-range budget objectives are met and identify criteria for monitoring progress and measuring successYour role profile may vary from time to time in accordance with business needs.
