About the role
A leading design and build construction company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex high-rise residential and mixed-use project in Birmingham.
This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking contractor with a strong pipeline of landmark schemes and a reputation for quality, innovation, and collaborative delivery.
The Role
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of high-rise projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, oversee programme and commercial performance, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of high-rise residential and mixed-use developments.
* Manage projects through all phases including pre-construction, procurement, construction, and handover.
* Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
* Maintain programme, quality, commercial, and health & safety objectives.
* Develop and manage project delivery strategies and construction programmes.
* Chair progress meetings and provide regular reporting to senior leadership and clients.
* Ensure compliance with current building regulations and statutory requirements.
* Drive performance, productivity, and client satisfaction across all project stages.
Requirements
* Proven experience delivering high-rise construction projects as a Senior Project Manager or Project Director.
* Strong background within a design and build main contractor environment.
* Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong understanding of construction methodology, programme management, and commercial awareness.
* Knowledge of UK building regulations, health & safety legislation, and modern construction practices.
* Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Construction Management or similar).
* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred.
