Electronics Engineer 6859 Location: Stonehouse (site-based) Hours: Full Time | Permanent Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 per annum Job Description Our client is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join a fast-paced and innovative engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on the design, development, and testing of electronic systems within a highly technical and regulated environment. Key Responsibilities of an Electronics Engineer: * Design and develop electronic systems, including schematic capture and PCB layout * Produce PCB designs suitable for manufacture (DFM) * Carry out debugging, testing, and validation of electronic hardware * Build and rework prototypes, including soldering and desoldering components * Support rapid prototyping using 3D printing and CAD tools * Specify, purchase, and set up lab equipment to support development activities * Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) simulations * Implement structured testing processes to improve reliability and performance * Work with low power RF systems and wireless communication technologies * Work closely with cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and physics disciplines * Support research activities aligned with customer requirements and market needs * Represent the business at events, exhibitions, and seminars when required Key Skills of an Electronics Engineer: * Experience in electronics design, including schematic and PCB layout (Altium preferred) * Strong understanding of PCB design for manufacture (DFM) * Hands-on experience with soldering and hardware prototyping * Experience with debugging and testing electronic systems * Familiarity with CAD tools such as Autodesk Fusion or similar * Understanding of RF systems and wireless technologies (e.g. LoRa) * Basic knowledge of embedded software environments (C/C++, Arduino, ESP32 desirable) * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to manage projects from concept through to completion * Confident communicator, able to work across multiple disciplines Additional Information Due to the nature of this role, candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible to obtain UK security clearance.
