Due to increased global growth in the business, we are seeking a Full Time Logistics Operator to be part of our Land Freight Team within the Manchester office of ALPI UK Ltd.
Job title: Logistics Operator
Location: The role will be based at our Manchester office.
Hours of work: 8:30am – 5:30pm (inclusive of 1-hour unpaid lunch break) Monday - Friday. 40 hours per week.
Salary range: £27,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
ALPI UK are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate that they can:
- Maintain at all times high standards of personal Quality, Health & Safety and professionalism, and actively promote all Company policies and procedures.
- Represent the company in the best possible light at all times.
- Prepare manual or scanned entry packing lists.
- Prepare orders for dispatch.
- Prepare weekly stock checks.
- Ensure all orders are ordered and booked accurately.
- Accountable for looking after customer’s specific requirements.
- Produce and send packing lists to customers and enter on to iMove where applicable.
- Ensure customer record reporting is kept up to date at all times and effective customer communication is maintained.
- Arrange deliveries for storage accounts.
- Create monthly invoices for storage accounts.
- Record stock locations and work closely with Warehouse Assistants to ensure goods are correctly located.
- Manage Key Accounts where required.
- Propose new ideas to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Skills, Experience and Competencies:
- Previous experience within logistics or warehouse operations.
- Good understanding of logistics processes and procedures.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential:
- Must have Right to Work in the UK.
