About the role

Reception Teacher (EYFS) Location: Ealing, West London Start Date: September 2026 or Start As Soon As Possible Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only A welcoming and community-focused primary school in Ealing is looking to appoint a passionate and imaginative Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team. About the Role As a Reception Teacher, you will: * Take responsibility for a Reception class and deliver high-quality EYFS teaching * Plan and facilitate purposeful, play-based learning experiences that promote curiosity and independence * Create an engaging classroom environment that supports exploration through continuous provision * Develop children’s early communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills * Support strong foundations in personal, social and emotional development * Observe, assess and respond to children’s learning using effective EYFS assessment strategies * Work closely with Teaching Assistants to enhance provision and outcomes * Build strong relationships with parents to support transition into school life * Contribute to the wider Early Years team, sharing ideas and good practice What We’re Looking For * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential * Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and Reception teaching * Ability to create an engaging, well-structured and nurturing classroom * A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning * Strong communication skills with pupils, staff and families * A genuine passion for Early Years education * Ability to work effectively as part of a team * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What the School Offers * A warm, welcoming and inclusive school community in Ealing * A well-established Early Years team with strong collaboration * A creative and well-resourced Reception environment * Supportive leadership that values innovation and staff wellbeing * Regular CPD and opportunities for professional growth * A school culture that places children’s happiness and development at its core This is a brilliant opportunity for a Reception Teacher who wants to make a meaningful impact at the very start of children’s education, in a school that truly values Early Years practice.
