Senior Ecologist

Role & Responsibilities
Lead protected species and habitat surveys
Manage projects from inception to delivery
Produce PEAs, EcIAs, and technical reports
Maintain client relationships and communication
Support tenders and business development
Mentor junior ecologists and review outputs
Ensure compliance with ecological legislation
Balance fieldwork and office-based tasks
Skills & Experience Required
3+ years ecology consultancy experience
Strong report writing and technical delivery
Protected species survey experience
Relevant licence or FISC Level 4+
Project management and client liaison skills
Knowledge of UK ecological legislation
Full UK driving licence
CIEEM membership or working towards
Salary & Benefits £36,000 - £43,000 depending on experience. 33 days annual leave, pension contributions, private medical insurance, income protection, and professional fees paid. Hybrid working supported.
