Deputy Manager
Location: Middleton, Greater Manchester
Salary: £37,096 - £39,800 per annum (inclusive of sleeps)
Hours: Permanent, full-time (including 1–2 sleeps per week)
We are working in partnership with a provider of children’s residential services to recruit a Deputy Manager for their home in Middleton, Greater Manchester. You will be joining a passionate and dedicated team supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) within a nurturing residential setting.

Key responsibilities:
* Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
* Maintain an up-to-date understanding of statutory and procedural frameworks for residential childcare, sharing knowledge with the team.
* Ensure each child has an individual care plan addressing emotional, social, and cultural needs.
* Oversee staffing levels, rotas, and training to meet the needs of the home.
* Lead and motivate staff, addressing conduct and competency issues in line with policy.
* Contribute to external audits and inspections.
* Support with budget management and financial oversight.
* Ensure all new staff receive a thorough induction and ongoing development.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a senior or managerial role within a children’s residential setting.
* A passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.
