Manufacturing Technician

Salary: £26,436.80 per year (£12.71 p/h) Night Shift Premium: £14.00 per night worked Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri + paid overtime Shifts: Training: 08:00-16:00 Rotation: 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 22:00-06:00 Role Overview We are looking for a hands-on, detail-focused Coatings Technician to support our client production team. You will carry out surface preparation, load setup, coating chamber preparation, equipment checks, and final packing/despatch. Full training provided. Key Responsibilities Prepare customer components (cleaning, blasting, masking) Set up production loads using jigs and fixtures Prepare and test coating chambers Review data and complete documentation Perform equipment checks and basic maintenance Maintain high 5S/housekeeping standards Support audits and continuous improvement activities Requirements Essential: High school education or equivalent Ability to work rotating shifts including nights Physically able to meet manual handling needs Full UK driving licence Desirable: Coating or manufacturing experience Forklift licence Basic IT skills Key Challenges Handling high-value and safety critical components Fast turnaround production Accurate reporting and documentation
