Maintenance Engineer

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing client based in Bilston. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity to join an established engineering team supporting production, facilities, and continuous improvement across the site.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in maximising production uptime, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.

Your Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:

• Managing daily engineering resources to ensure production runs effectively and customer requirements are met
• Planning, monitoring and deploying Preventive and Autonomous Maintenance
• Providing engineering support to other group companies where required
• Carrying out repairs to buildings and non-production equipment
• Organising quotations and managing contractor works
• Evaluating equipment performance and implementing improvement actions
• Recommending and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and safety
• Minimising production costs and wastage
• Spare parts planning and inventory control
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and compliance records
• Procuring and managing external service providers for specialist works

Requirements

• Good communication and time-management skills
• Flexible, positive attitude and strong team-working ability
• Respectful and professional approach
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience working with CNC and PLC machinery
• Experience with rotary flatbed die-cutting presses, horizontal splitting machines, and slitter/rewind lamination equipment
• Ability to follow procedures and technical instructions accurately

Working Hours

• 38 hours per week
• Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 17:00
  • Paid 10-minute morning break
  • Unpaid 30-minute lunch break

• £19.18-£21.92 an hour depending on experience and a successful interview
