About the role
Welder (Sub Arc) Location: Livingston Salary: £31,991 + £7,997 shift allowance (Total £39,989) Hours: 37 per week (shift rotation) We are recruiting for an experienced Welder to join a leading manufacturing environment. Youll be part of a skilled team responsible for welding, fabrication, and repair work across plant equipment and tooling. Key Responsibilities: Carry out welding and fabrication repairs on presses, furnaces, machine tools, and dies

Operate and set up Sub Arc welding equipment
Work with a range of materials including stainless steel, titanium, and high carbon steels
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Support plant maintenance, breakdown response, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
Requirements: Time-served Welder with Sub Arc welding experience
Strong fabrication skills and experience in industrial environments
Ability to read technical drawings and follow work instructions
Knowledge of safe working practices
Flexible approach and ability to work shifts
Desirable: Experience in heavy manufacturing or forging environments
Burning/lancing experience
