Key Stage 3 Teacher - SEN (SEMH)

MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
Tempest Resourcing is proud to be working with a specialist SEN provision in Surrey supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school caters for students who require a highly supportive, structured, and therapeutic learning environment to help them re-engage with education.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 3 Teacher to make a genuine impact on young people who benefit from smaller class sizes, personalised learning approaches, and strong pastoral support.

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to Key Stage 3 students
Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of SEN and SEMH needs
Foster a positive and safe learning environment
Support students' emotional development alongside academic progress
Work closely with support staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders
Contribute to behaviour management and individual support plansIdeal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Key Stage 3 (mainstream or SEN settings)
Strong understanding of SEMH needs and behaviour management strategies
Resilient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
Ability to build positive relationships with students who may have complex needsRequirements
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
