Job title: Exhibit Management Officer •Salary: £(phone number removed) to £29,859.00 per annum •Contract: Permanent working full time 37 hours per week, flexible working •Location: Regional Scientific Support Services, Calder Park, Wakefield Looking for challenging and exciting role where you can make a real impact on policing services? A Police staff role within the Exhibit Management Unit is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and develop into other roles with Regional Scientific support services, giving an understanding of exhibit integrity, continuity, packaging and storage Role and Responsibilities The role is responsible for providing a comprehensive forensic exhibit management service through the handling of casework exhibits received via the 4 Police Forces within the Yorkshire and the Humber region. By effectively managing casework exhibits, the continuity of records and the recording of the transfer of exhibits, the main aim is to ensure that the integrity and continuity of evidence is maintained. Key duties include: • Undertaking visual checking of forensic exhibits and associated documentation • Maintain accurate computer and clerical records to ensure exhibit integrity and continuity in accordance with regional policy and procedures. • Receive telephone/email enquiries from internal and external customers relating to case progress, packaging and storage of evidence. responding to them appropriately, professionally, and confidently. • Undertake general administration including ordering of equipment and stationery to help ensure the effective and efficient running of the unit. Expectations Eligible candidates will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy, previous experience of working in an office environment - preferably working with exhibit handling, and a working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
