Logistics Coordinator

Logistics Coordinator Irlam up to £30,000 DOE An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join its operations team in Irlam. This is a varied, office-based role focused on managing day-to-day freight forwarding activities, ensuring the efficient coordination of transport movements from quotation through to delivery. Key Responsibilities: * Meet and greet site visitors and drivers * Prepare and process shipping documentation * Coordinate transport arrangements with hauliers * Plan and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring timely arrivals * Manage import and export documentation in line with regulatory requirements * Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics records * Respond to customer queries and resolve issues in a timely manner * Monitor logistics non-conformance and implement corrective actions * Liaise with internal departments including production, procurement, and sales to align shipping schedules Candidate Requirements: * Previous experience within a logistics or freight forwarding environment * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks * Excellent attention to detail * Good communication skills, both written and verbal * A team-oriented approach with a focus on customer service * Knowledge of ADR regulations is desirable For further information about this opportunity please call Abbie at Forrest Recruitment for a confidential discussion – (phone number removed).
