We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Operative with a Telehandler licence to join a busy team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the daily operations, ensuring the safe movement of specialist materials and the efficient organisation of the yard facility. This role is long term with genuine progression opportunities. Responsibilities: • Safely operating a diesel Telehandler to load and unload vehicles. • Navigating and operating machinery safely across uneven yard surfaces. • Pre-loading and prepping vehicles with specific materials required for next-day projects. • Organising and stacking heavy industrial stock, including timber and metal components. • Using various hand and power tools to assist with material preparation. • Receiving incoming deliveries and checking stock accuracy. • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment. Skills: • Valid Telehandler (Telescopic Handler) licence is essential. • Previous experience operating in an outdoor yard environment with uneven terrain. • Strong communication skills. • Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of bulky items. • Comfortable using hand tools and working under own initiative. • A proactive attitude with a desire to take on more responsibility and progress.
