We are looking for a Childrens EBD Residential Team Leader to oversee a dedicated team in providing positive outcomes for children and young people. This warm and welcoming home provides therapeutic, day-to-day support for up to three children aged 8-18. Most of the children who live here have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), which may continue to impact how they feel, relate to others, and understand the world around them.
You will be under the guidance of a highly experienced Ofsted Outstanding Registered Manager. The approach within this home is built on compassion, consistency, and positive relationships, helping each child to feel safe, valued, and understood. Through nurturing support and meaningful engagement, you will help to promote their emotional well-being and encourage the development of crucial life skills.
As a Childrens EBD Residential Team Leader, you will lead by example, acting as a positive role model while overseeing the implementation of care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures. You will delegate effectively, supervise staff, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulatory standards. Your role will be key in providing consistent, high-quality outcomes for both the children and the team. Experience in a Senior role, strong leadership skills, and the confidence to develop others within a therapeutic setting are highly desirable.
Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 (Including sleep-ins)
Rota: 1 on 2 off (6-9 sleep-ins per month)

Role of a Childrens EBD Residential Team Leader
Oversee and support your team of Support Workers
Lead shifts with confidence and be the go-to person for support and guidance. xwzovoh
Maintain the friendly, warm, and homely environment of the home
Build trusting relationships with the children through consistent, positive interactions
Support the children with their emotional, social, behavioural, and educational needs
Support behaviours that challenge and understand the reasons for them
Encourage the development of crucial life skills and support their independence
Oversee and review key worker sessions
Support and lead the day-to-day shifts, ensuring smooth handovers and consistent care
Contribute to care plans and risk assessments
Maintain thorough and accurate records of behaviours and events
Ensure safeguarding is always prioritised, and procedures are followed
To liaise with families, schools, social workers, CAMHS and other professionals
Attend and contribute to team meetings
Requirements of a Childrens EBD Residential Team Leader
Must hold a valid Level 3 or 4 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
Must have prior experience working in an Ofsted-regulated childrens home
Have prior experience supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Must be a driver with a valid UK Driving License
Be able to work a 1 on 2 off rota pattern that can include long days and sleep-ins
