MPA Recruitment are partnering with their Global Market Leading Engineering Client to recruit a full time permanent Senior Buyer Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-driven Senior Buyer to play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials that keep our operations moving.

This role will be based in Omagh, Co Tyrone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing activities across a range of materials including steel, hydraulics, electrical components, and fabricated items
  • Ensure timely procurement to meet project deadlines and support production schedules
  • Work closely with sales, engineering, planning, and production teams to align supply with demand
  • Analyse purchasing data to identify risks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records within ERP systems and support continuous process improvements
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving performance and value

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ purchasing experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience using ERP systems
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with strong follow-through
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
  • Sound judgement and decision-making ability
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally

  • Stock-taking experience within a manufacturing environment
  • CIPS qualification (or equivalent)
