People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Tipton, West Midlands , to join our well-established client.

This position would suit applicants seeking a role as an LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver , or Articulated Lorry Driver .
Shifts
Monday to Friday
Start time: 19:00
Minimum of 8 hours paid per shift
Rates of Pay
£18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver will include:
Operating HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently
Working primarily with double-decker trailers
Completing deliveries and collections as required
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
Ensuring all loads are safe, secure, and compliant
Adhering to all UK traffic laws and transport regulations
Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
Reporting any defects or maintenance issues promptly
Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills
The skills required for the HGV Class 1 Driver role are:
A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
A minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
A valid CPC card and digital tachograph card
No more than six penalty points for minor offences
A good level of written and spoken English
Excellent punctuality and time-management skills
A strong understanding of UK road transport regulations
Good communication skills
Desirable Experience
Experience operating double-decker trailers
Previous commercial driving experience in similar roles
Training Provided
Full industry-related training
