Electrician / Roofer’s Mate – Solar PV – Permanent Role £35,000 + Bonuses Coverage Areas: IP / CO / CM / CB / PE The Role We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Electrician / Roofer’s Mate to support our Solar PV installation teams. This is a hands-on, field-based role covering East Anglia and surrounding areas (IP, CO, CM, CB, PE), assisting with both electrical and roofing aspects of solar panel and battery installations. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within the renewable energy sector, with full training provided. Key Responsibilities * Assist electricians with wiring, cable runs, and general installation tasks * Support roofers with Solar PV mounting systems and panel installation * Load/unload materials and prepare work areas * Work safely at height under supervision * Maintain tools, equipment, and site cleanliness * Follow all health & safety procedures on-site * Travel between job sites as required Requirements * Previous experience as a labourer, mate, or in construction (preferred) * Interest in electrical or roofing work * Willingness to learn and develop new skills * Good work ethic and reliability * Ability to work as part of a team * CSCS card (preferred) * Full UK Driving Licence (preferred) What We Offer * Salary of £35,000 per annum * Performance-related bonuses * Overtime opportunities * Full training in Solar PV, roofing, and electrical work * Career progression into qualified roles (Electrician / Roofer) * Long-term, stable employment in a growing industry Location Field-based role covering: Ipswich (IP), Colchester (CO), Chelmsford (CM), Cambridge (CB), Peterborough (PE)
