People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire .
This is a fantastic opportunity for a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver , offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.
This role would suit applicants who have worked in a previous role of LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts:
4 on / 4 off
PM starts – 18:00–06:00
12-hour shifts (all breaks paid)
Rates of Pay:
£15.53 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver , your day-to-day duties will include:
Yard shunting / movement of vehicles
Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently
Ensuring all vehicles are moved in a safe manner
Adhering to traffic laws and transport regulations
Communicating effectively with site managers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
Essential Skills:
The skills required to be a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver are:
Valid UK Category CE driving licence
Minimum of six months' experience driving C+E vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
Good level of spoken and written English
Punctual with excellent time-keeping skills
Good understanding xwzovoh of UK traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
Training:
Driver assessment required prior to starting
One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
