Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)
Salary: £30,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for Line Operatives to join a busy manufacturing site near Somerset. The site operates a 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights and supplies products directly to an on-site customer.
This role would suit someone with previous production or factory experience, although full training will be provided. It is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Line Operative role: Working on a production line to ensure products are produced to required quality standards
Carrying out routine checks for visual defects, weights, and tolerances, completing associated paperwork accurately
Operating production equipment in line with standard operating procedures
Assisting with line changeovers, cleaning, realignment, and general setup activities
Ensuring materials are supplied to the production line and reporting any issues to supervision promptly
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and food-safe working practices
Working safely at all times and following site health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience required for this Line Operative role: Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or factory environment (preferred)
Experience working on a production line is advantageous
Willingness to learn and follow processes and instructions
Ability to work a rotating days and nights shift pattern
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Personal Attributes: Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Good attention to detail
Proactive and willing to learn
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuous production environment
