Assistant Lab Technician (Industrial Environment) Location: Hyde Pay Rate: £13ph - £14ph Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Monday to Thursday 06:15am - 18:30pm MUST be happy to work nights if needed Role Overview We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Lab Technician to join a busy industrial site based in Hyde. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term career prospects for reliable and hardworking candidates. The role involves operating and maintaining machinery as part of the production process, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Operating and monitoring machinery safely and efficiently Setting up machinery and ensuring it is running correctly Making basic machine adjustments where required Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards Working to production targets and deadlines Loading raw materials into machines and handling finished goods Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Following all health & safety procedures at all times Reporting any faults or issues with machinery promptly Supporting other areas of production when requiredRequirements Previous experience in a machine operator or industrial environment is desirable Experience operating machinery is preferred (full training can be provided) Good understanding of health & safety practices Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player Able to carry out manual handling tasks Willingness to learn and develop new skills Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
