Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Recycling Operatives to join a recycling team in Tor Quarry This is a hands-on, role involving outdoor work in all weather conditions, sorting recyclable materials, and supporting general site operations. Key Duties Correctly sort different recyclable materials. Hand-pick or machine-sort materials (paper, plastic, metal, glass) on conveyor belts, removing contaminants. Load and unload recycling vehicles and record waste weights. Inspect materials for contamination, identify hazardous items, and report issues. Maintain a tidy and safe working environment. Requirements Must have own transport to access the site. Must be able to lift heavy loads and be able to stand for long periods. Ability to lift heavy items. Basic numeracy skills and the ability to follow instructions. Good attention to detail when identifying materials and contaminants. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and in dusty or noisy environments. What We Offer £12.85 per hour. 7am-4:30pm working hours (days vary). Supportive local team environment.
