Location: Witham, Essex
Contract: Temp to Perm, Full Time (Until the end of the academic year with the potential to be extended for the right candidates)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £22,254.36 to £24,097.97
Start Date: ASAP
An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Coordinator to join a thriving secondary academy in Witham. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs, behaviour challenges, and trauma related barriers to learning.

The Role
As a Pastoral Coordinator, you will:
Support students’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and personal development
Provide trauma informed support and targeted SEMH interventions
Build strong and positive relationships with students
Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
Monitor attendance, behaviour and wellbeing data
Work closely with families, safeguarding teams and external agencies
Promote safeguarding and ensure student welfare is prioritised at all times
Encourage positive engagement with education and school lifeThe Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people
Has knowledge or experience of SEMH and trauma informed practice
Is calm, patient and resilient under pressure
Has strong communication and relationship building skills
Is passionate about supporting vulnerable students
Works well independently and as part of a team
