CNC Operator

CNC Operator (Milling or Turning) Role Type: Full time, permanent Location: Redditch Salary: £15 per hour Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (7am until 4pm) and Friday (7am until 12pm) Role Overview The company is a subcontract-machining specialist that supplies CNC turned parts, sub-assemblies, and precision-engineered components. The company utilizes advanced CNC machinery, including multi-axis milling machines, sliding-head and fixed-head lathes, alongside conventional multi-spindle equipment. They were founded in 1986 and have a strong order book. Key Responsibilities * Operate CNC milling machines or CNC lathes. * Manufacture components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications * Ensure all work meets company quality procedures and standards * Perform routine preventative and general machine maintenance checks * Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all HSE regulations * Support housekeeping standards and follow 5S practices Skills & Competencies * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Previous experience operating CNC machinery. * Understanding of geometrical tolerances (desired). * High attention to detail and quality-focused approach * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently * Strong team player with a proactive, “can-do” attitude Performance Expectations * Produce high-quality components efficiently and within agreed timeframes * Maintain excellent timekeeping and attendance * Consistently meet production and quality targets * Uphold high standards of housekeeping and organisation IMMEDIATE INTERVIEWS AND STARTS AVAILABLE
