About the role

About the company: We employ approximately 50 staff across its offices in London, Bristol, Leeds, and Glasgow. We provide Quantity Surveying, Project Management, and CDM Consultancy Services. Our work spans the retail, commercial/office, leisure, and residential sectors, with extensive experience across a wide variety of project types. Key Requirements Qualifications * Degree in Quantity Surveying – Essential * APC Candidate or working towards MRICS – Desirable Skills and Personal Attributes * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook – Essential * Well presented and professional – Essential * Proactive, flexible, and resilient – Essential * Strong communication and interpersonal skills – Essential * Highly motivated and eager to take on new challenges – Essential * Organised, with the ability to meet deadlines – Essential * Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team – Essential * Experience in multidisciplinary working environments – Essential * Capable of managing a dynamic workload that can change at short notice – Desirable * Strong report writing skills – Desirable Main Responsibilities You will be responsible for delivering the full Quantity Surveying service from feasibility through to final account management, including: * Contract Experience – Working with traditional JCT contracts (typically without quantities, including CDPs, or Design and Build Contracts). * Feasibility and Cost Planning – Feasibility estimating, approximate quantities, and detailed cost planning using NRM 1 and NRM 2. * Pre-Contract Duties – Design review, value engineering, value management, preparation of tender documentation, tender analysis, and preparation of contract documentation. * Post-Contract Duties – Managing monthly valuations, cost reporting, valuing variations and changes, and agreeing final accounts. May also include life cycle costing. * Client Interaction – Acting as a client-facing representative, attending client review meetings, design meetings, and cost or procurement meetings as required.
