A large secondary Academy in Lewisham are looking for a committed, passionate and hardworking an English Teacher to join their staff on a full-time basis from September 2026. The position is for at least 3 terms .Pupils come from a diverse and vibrant local community and benefit greatly from the stability and structure within the new academy and the dedicated staff team at the school. You will be required to teach to English to key stage 3 and key stage 4, following the school's policy on planning and assessment. You will be joining a supportive department, who strive to maintain high standards and expectations.

To apply for this English Teacher role you will need to:
Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
Have experience of teaching English to KS3 and KS4Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Assessing, tracking, and recording pupil progress to inform teaching and support individual learning needs.
Creating a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives within Performing arts
