Machine Operator

Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? We're recruiting a Multiskilled Relief Machine Operator to join a busy, well-established operation in North Essex. About the Role This is a dynamic, full-time position where you'll play a key role in keeping site operations running smoothly. You'll provide essential cover across the team, stepping into different duties and operating a range of machinery. What You'll Be Doing Operating loading shovels, forklift trucks, and material handlers (12-ton and 20-ton) Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting any defects Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures Supporting general site operations as needed Providing cover during holidays and absences across the team Working Hours Monday to Friday: 07:30 - 17:30 (45 hours per week) Optional overtime available - up to 20 hours per week What We're Looking For Experience operating plant machinery (loading shovels, forklifts, material handlers) Relevant tickets/certifications are an advantage, but not essential Strong awareness of health & safety practices Flexible, reliable, and willing to take on a variety of tasks A team player with a positive, can-do attitude What's in It for You Permanent, full-time position Consistent weekday schedule Regular overtime opportunities to boost your earnings Stable role within a growing and essential industry Friendly, supportive working environment If you're a skilled operator who enjoys variety and takes pride in working safely and efficiently, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
