Rutherford Care, the healthcare division of the Rutherford Chase Group, is recruiting a Chef Assistant to join a busy care home kitchen in Stone. This is a hands-on role offering long-term stability and responsibility, including running the kitchen independently when required.

• Rota-based across 7 days (including weekends)
• Typically 35 shifts per week
• 12-hour shifts

• Assist with food preparation and meal service
• Run the kitchen independently in the Chefs absence
• Maintain cleanliness, including washing up duties
• Complete daily logs and ensure compliance paperwork is up to date
• Follow COSHH, Environmental Health, and Health & Safety procedures
• Support stock control and basic ordering

• Previous kitchen experience (care, school, or contract catering preferred)
• Ability to work independently and xwzovoh take initiative
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
• Willingness to take on responsibility beyond a typical assistant role
• Reliable, hardworking, and flexible
