Electrician needed in North London Join our team as a skilled Electrician and play a vital role in maintaining safe electrical systems across social housing properties in North and Central London. Job Title: Electrician - Maintenance/Installer Contract Type: Sub-Contracting  Salary Range: £280 a day (price work also available)  Working Locations: Islington, Shoreditch & Waltham Forest  Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team, subcontracting work across North and Central London in a day rate or price-work position. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out testing and EICRs across various social housing properties in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in social housing properties. Complete electrical inspection and testing to current regulations and industry standards. Identify, diagnose and report electrical defects and non-compliances. Occasionally undertake remedial and repair works arising from inspections and testing. Ensure all testing and certification is completed accurately and submitted within required timescales. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted Requirements: Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services - Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) or equivalent 2391  18th Edition Proven experience as an Electrician within the social housing sector is essential Gold Card (preferred)  Your own van and tools (Calibration Certificate required)  Experience using a PDA  Other certificates including asbestos, DBS, working at heights, and public limited   What's on Offer: Day rate or price work varying from £250 - £300 a day  Materials provided Sub-contracting Congestion charges covered  Immediate start available Long-term opportunity with consistent work Take the next step in your electrical career with a company that values your expertise and offers genuine long-term opportunities
