Commercial Accountant

Are you a part or fully qualified accountant seeking an exciting new opportunity with a dynamic and ambitious company? We are currently looking for a Commercial Accountant. In this role within the Finance team, you will work cross-functionally, ensuring a high level of accuracy is maintained in financial transactions and reporting, and provide timely and appropriate management information to the business. This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday Friday.

Commercial Accountant responsibilities include:
Provide commercial support to the Commercial Team such as sales reporting and costings
Profitability analysis and costings of products and customer accounts
Weekly cash flow forecasting and banking transactions
Month end overhead analysis for various cost centres
Manage and calculate commodity-linked tracker prices for the commercial team
Fixed Asset management and reporting
Preparation of audit and tax information
Various statutory reporting/surveys
Monthly revaluation of finished goods stock
Providing back-up cover for other roles within the department as required e.g. reception cover
Commercial Accountant requirements include:
Full or part qualified accountant
Experienced in accounting systems, Microsoft Office packages and SAP
Strong numeracy ability and communication skills
Proactive with a high level of accuracy and commitment
Structured, resilient approach to work with ability to use initiative to solve problems
Ability to prioritise, manage own workload, work within time constraints and ensure targets achieved in fast-moving environment subject to change
Problem solving and analytical skills
