Financial Controller (Part‑Time, 2 Days Per Week) – Remote (UK) Employment type: Employed or Day‑Rate (your choice) Location: Fully Remote – needs to be UK based Hours: 2 days per week (flexible) A growing UK business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to provide high‑quality financial oversight and support on a flexible, part‑time basis. This role is ideal for an accomplished finance professional who wants to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a balanced working week. You’ll work remotely and partner closely with the leadership team to strengthen financial processes, improve reporting, and support the business through its next phase of growth. Experience We’re Looking For * Intercompany accounts, reconciliations and transactions * R&D tax credits * Margin reporting and analysis * Team management * Understanding of US finance and accounting requirements * Month‑end and year‑end reporting Key Responsibilities * Lead month‑end processes and produce accurate management accounts * Manage cashflow, forecasting and budgeting * Strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting * Provide commercial insight and support to senior leadership * Oversee compliance, reconciliations and financial governance * Support ad‑hoc financial projects and decision‑making What You’ll Bring * Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager * Strong understanding of SME finance environments * Confident working independently and remotely * Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills * Ability to improve processes and drive financial clarity * Comfortable working 2 days per week on a flexible schedule What’s on Offer * Part‑time role: 2 days per week, fully flexible * Fully remote working, with very occasional visits to the office in Lowestoft, Suffolk * Option to join as employed or on a day‑rate contract * Opportunity to shape and improve finance within a growing business * A role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy and high‑impact work If you’re an experienced finance professional looking for a flexible, remote role where your expertise will genuinely make a difference, we’d love to hear from you
