The Opportunity

Due to a sustained period of growth and a robust pipeline of high-profile projects secured for the upcoming years, they are looking to expand their technical team by bringing in a driven Assistant Building Services Manager.

The Role
As an Assistant Building Services Manager, you will support the successful delivery of the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) packages across various complex construction projects. You will act as a key link between the site teams, design teams, and specialist M&E subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Building Services Manager with the coordination and management of all M&E installations on site.
- Support the review of M&E design drawings, technical submittals, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor the progress and quality of M&E subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
- Assist in managing the commissioning process and the seamless handover of building services systems.
- Help identify and resolve technical site queries and clashes using your M&E knowledge.
- Attend and contribute to site meetings, progress updates, and design workshops.
- Ensure all necessary QA/QC documentation, O&M manuals, and compliance certificates are accurately collated.
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for a proactive, technically minded individual who is eager to learn and develop within a premium main contracting environment.
- Qualifications: Educated to HNC/HND or Degree level in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent trade background with strong management experience).
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with site teams and subcontractors. xwzovoh
