Production Manager

A well-established and growing manufacturing business in the Kettering area is looking to recruit a Production Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a multi-shift production operation. This is a hands-on leadership role, working core hours of 8-4 Monday to Friday where you’ll be managing teams across multiple shifts, driving performance, improving efficiency, and ensuring production targets, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved. The position would suit someone who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and running a structured, well-organised shop floor. The Role: * Manage and lead a multi-shift production team to ensure safe and efficient operations * Drive productivity, waste reduction, and overall performance across the department * Set targets, monitor KPIs, and improve output through structured performance management * Work closely with planning, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow * Develop operator skills and improve flexibility through training and coaching * Implement continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practice * Ensure strong discipline, structure, and consistency across the production environment * Plan holidays, training, and staffing levels to maintain output and quality at all times What we're looking for: * 3–5+ years’ experience managing production teams within a manufacturing environment * Strong leadership and people management skills * Experience driving productivity, waste reduction, and continuous improvement * Good understanding of industrial production environments and equipment * Ability to resolve conflict, manage performance, and motivate teams * Strong organisational and decision-making skills * A proactive and self-motivated approach Why Apply?
