Live opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a Tier 1 Contractor working in Inverness.
Deliver commercial support on a major UK energy infrastructure programme, helping to upgrade cable and overhead powerline assets. You'll work across commercial, procurement, and finance activities, providing full contract administration and commercial reporting for a varied portfolio of works.

Based in Inverness on a cable upgrade and overhead powerline project, working within the Energy team.
The role
As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be part of an Energy team delivering cable upgrade and overhead powerline projects. The role exists to provide full commercial support so projects meet their contractual and financial targets. You'll be joining a collaborative environment with long‑term work in the energy sector and the opportunity to build your career on large infrastructure projects.
What you'll be doing
- Providing commercial interface support to aid delivery of contracted work within a geographically focused team.
- Producing accurate, timely commercial reports and giving informed commercial advice to the management team.
- Supporting and progressing subcontract procurement, ongoing management, and final account resolution.
- Contributing to delivery and accountability of internal and external project commercial targets.
- Ensuring accurate, timely cost reporting, forecasting, risk management, and integrity of all commercial data communicated to stakeholders.
- Supporting compliance with approved processes, procedures, project execution plans, collaborative management plans, and continuous improvement in Quantity Surveying activities, including the use of finance systems such as COINS and upstream/downstream change control.
What we're looking for
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or another commercially related discipline.
- Intent to work toward professional membership (e.g. RICS or CIOB).
- Experience using Contract Management Systems such as CEMAR or FastDraft.
- Experience working within a project commercial team or independently.
- Preferably experienced with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
- Civil engineering experience with NEC Option C awareness.
- Around 3-5 years' experience, reporting into a senior member for strategic and management guidance.
