TEMP - Accounts Assistant

Location: Stansted Job Type: Temporary Working Pattern: Office based only Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm (1-hour lunch break) + occasional additional hours as required Salary: £17 per hour     About the Role We are recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Assistant. This is a varied, hands-on role requiring strong organisation, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be working as part of a supportive finance team where communication, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential. The role is office based only, working from the team's Essex office.   Key Responsibilities Processing purchase ledger invoices and credit notes Managing purchase ledger payments Raising and processing sales ledger invoices and receipts Maintaining multi-currency cash books and performing bank reconciliations Preparing weekly payment runs Managing and monitoring a shared finance email inbox Providing general finance and administrative support to the team as required About You We are looking for someone who is: Flexible, confident, and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines A strong communicator with a professional telephone manner and client-focused approach Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency Competent in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software A proactive team player who can also work independently when required What's on Offer Temporary role within a busy and supportive finance team Broad exposure to client accounting processes Opportunity to develop experience within an outsourced finance environment Competitive salary based on experience
