Overview We are seeking a dedicated Steel De-Coiler (6-2/2-10) to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently uncoiling steel sheets, preparing materials for fabrication processes. Responsibilities * Operate de-coiling equipment to unroll steel sheets accurately and safely * Inspect coils for defects or damage prior to processing * Use hand tools and tooling to prepare steel sheets for subsequent fabrication steps * Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate mechanical aids or hand tools * Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations * Perform basic maintenance on de-coiling machinery as required * Support assembly processes by providing prepared sheet metal components * Follow detailed instructions and safety procedures during all tasks Qualifications * Experience in fabrication, grinding, welding, or related metalworking fields is desirable but not essential; training will be provided * Mechanical knowledge of sheet metal handling and processing is advantageous * Proficiency with hand tools, tooling, and basic maths skills required for measurements and calculations * Familiarity with assembly processes or experience working with sheet metal is beneficial * Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Good organisational skills with attention to detail * Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to safety standards This role provides a valuable entry point into the manufacturing sector, offering hands-on experience with steel processing techniques within a supportive team environment
