About the role

Due to increased global growth, our client a recognized player within the Freight Forwarding and Transportation industry, are seeking a Sales Executive to join their UK Sales team, this role is to be based and covering across the Northwest Region – including Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire & Cumbria. The role will require frequent travel across several regions, therefore a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is required. On Offer: * Monday – Friday working pattern, 8.30am-5.30pm. * Salary ranging from £36,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience) + £5,000 per annum car allowance * Competitive bonus structure based on results and company growth * 20 days annual leave + Public holidays. Holiday loyalty days up to a maximum of 5 days (1 additional day on the anniversary of the date you joined. * Confidential EAP platform for you and your immediate family members as spouse/partners and children aged 16 to 24 in full-time education, living in the same household * Access to Employee Discounts and Benefits, which includes Grocery Shopping, Holidays, Movies, Sports, Wellness and many more * Death in Service equal to three times your annual salary / Private Medical Scheme (application process required) Duties and Responsibilities of the Sales Executive: * Identify sales opportunities whilst profiling all new businesses to understand intricately how to support with freight forwarding & customs solutions * Represent the company in the best possible light with internal and external stakeholders * Proactively scope new business opportunities * Track & manage the CRM system, ensuring ongoing liaison with existing clients & follow up of prospective customers * Demonstrate a track record of developing and enhancing current client portfolios * Liaise with customers, suppliers and overseas agents * Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge * Display excellent communication skills that include the ability to influence and negotiate where required * Assist the Head of Sales in the execution of their duties in support of the Managing Director’s vision of the company to become more competitive and profitable * Understand and execute the departments vision of good business development to sell company services. * Sell companies services at the best possible price by calling, meeting, and building a portfolio of clients contributing to company growth in conjunction with targets and KPIs. * Ensure minimal risk is undertaken when negotiating new deals and contracts. * Sell services by meeting customers off site at least 3 days per week. * Report and record sales pipeline activities. * Prepare reports for prospects and pipeline profitability. * Carry out due diligence checks in respect of new customers. To be Considered for the Sales Executive: * Preferred at least 2 years working experience in sales, within the freight forwarding industry * Knowledge and experience of Import/Export multimodal business * Demonstrate high quality communication skills along with good presentation skills * Proficient with Microsoft packages especially Excel as well as have general PC knowledge * Good understanding of freight forwarding & logistics processes and procedures * Must be able to prioritise and organise own workload with attention to detail * Must be flexible with their working hours, with the ability to work from home For more details, please contact Willis Global – a leading Recruitment Consultancy for the Supply Chain & Logistics Industry
