As a Criminal Justice Advanced Recovery Practitioner, youll play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals involved in the criminal justice system, helping them achieve meaningful recovery and stability.
About the role As an Advanced Practitioner, youll be part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team, working with service users who present multiple and complex needs.
You will: Manage a defined caseload, often involving individuals with mental health issues, homelessness, criminality, long-term health conditions, domestic abuse, exploitation, or self-harm.
Complete assessments of need and risk, developing robust recovery and risk-management plans tailored to the persons goals.
Deliver evidence-based interventions, both 1:1 and group-based.
Act as lead professional within multi-agency contexts when required, ensuring coordinated and effective support.
Represent the service at external meetings to improve pathways and partnership working.
Though this is not a line-management role, Advanced Practitioners form an important part of the services leadership structure and contribute to the development of newer or less experienced colleagues.
What were looking for To succeed in this role, you will need Extensive experience supporting people affected by substance use or experience in a closely related field within health, social care, or criminal justice settings.
A relevant qualification (e.g., social work, nursing) or equivalent professional experience.
Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
Confidence in managing complex cases and presenting in multidisciplinary settings.
