About the role
V-Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Administrator to start work in the Rotherham, S66 area as soon as possible.
This is a Temp to Perm, full-time position for a leading, reputable and growing construction company. Our client works across all maintenance, repair and refurbishment projects within the construction industry and cover contracts all over the UK.
Key responsibilities
· Provide general administrative support including filing, scanning, document management and data entry
· Answer and direct phone calls and emails professionally
· Maintain and update training records/databases, ensuring employee and subcontractor compliance stays current
· Manage site paperwork, including issuing RAMS via OpenSign and tracking subcontractor paperwork and timesheets
· Monitor and manage new enquiries as they come in
· Support quote follow-ups: update spreadsheets, track weekly to-do lists, and flag anything missed
· Maintain monthly business cost trackers and project cost trackers
· Process subcontractor invoices and assist with weekly payroll administration
· Support company vehicle administration: monthly checks, MOTs, servicing schedules
· Diary support: help schedule site meetings and projects, keep calendars up to date, and issue weekly work schedules/instructions
· Complete and send supplier forms as required
· Compile and issue job packs to subcontractors as needed
· Order and maintain office supplies and support with other ad hoc tasks
· Lone working may be required at times
Job Specifics
- £12.71 per hour, with pay reviews available after probation
- This is a fully office-based Temp to Perm contract, with a 12-week probationary period through V-Recruit
- Working hours are 8am-4pm Monday to Thursday, paying 32 hours per week
Potentially, there may be an opportunity to increase working hours to 5 days per week in the future.
What we’re looking for
· Previous experience in an administrative role (data entry, document control, office support)
· Highly organised with strong attention to detail
· Confident communicator by phone and email
· Able to prioritise, multitask and work independently
· Good IT skills (Outlook essential; SharePoint/Word/Excel advantageous)
· Proactive, positive attitude and a strong team mindset
Nice to have (not essential)
· Experience in construction admin or working with site teams/subcontractors
· Document control experience (job packs, compliance records, structured filing)
· Familiarity with RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) processes or related paperwork
