London Borough of Sutton Social Worker – Localities Team Pay Rate: £38 per hour Hours: 36 per week Contract: Locum About the Role London Borough of Sutton is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Localities Team. You will work with children and families across a varied caseload, providing high-quality assessments, safeguarding interventions, and long-term planning to improve outcomes. This is a supportive and well-managed service that places strong emphasis on relationship-based practice and multi-agency collaboration. Key Responsibilities Complete assessments under the Children Act, including Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries. Manage a mixed caseload of CIN, CP, and some court work. Develop and implement child-centred care and safety plans. Work collaboratively with partner agencies including schools, health, and police. Undertake direct work with children and families. Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court. Maintain accurate and timely case recordings.
